Deputy John Halligan asked the Minister for Health the reason almost two thirds of adult surgical patients at University Hospital Waterford were not seen within the target waiting time of eight months in February 2015; the specific specialties these patients are waiting for treatment in; if the re-opening of a surgical theatre in January 2015 has made an impact on these waiting lists; the way the new national action plan will tackle waiting lists at the hospital; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
