345. Deputy Billy Kelleher asked the Minister for Defence the number of Defence Forces personnel who are directly related, for example, a child or sibling of other serving members of the Defence Forces; and the number of Defence Forces personnel who are directly related, as above, to former members of the Defence Forces. I am informed by the relevant military authorities that it is not possible to provide accurate information in respect of personnel, former or serving, who are directly related to other serving members of the Defence Forces or to former members of the Defence Forces. The Defence Forces Personnel Management System does not record such information.
