Deputy Niall Collins asked the Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources the total amount of firearms licence fees collected by An Post on behalf of the Department of Justice and Equality in each of the years 2012 to 2014; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The collection of firearms licence fees by An Post on behalf of the Department of Justice and Equality is a day to day commercial matter for An Post and not one in which I have a function. The question is more appropriate to the Department of Justice and Equality which has responsibility for firearms licences.
