484. Deputy Terence Flanagan asked the Minister for Health if he will provide an update on the implementation of free general practitioner visit cards for persons over 70 years of age; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [29713/15]

The GP visit card scheme for the over 70s will commence on 1 August. The HSE will begin an information campaign regarding the registration process next week.
