493. Deputy Michael McGrath asked the Minister for Health the total spend by his Department on agency staff in each year from 2011 to 2014; the projected spend this year; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [29768/15]
View answerThe majority of my Department's staff are established civil servants. There are a small number of employees on fixed-term contracts or seconded from the HSE or other health related State agencies. My Department does not engage agency staff and therefore, there was no expenditure on agency staff in the years from 2011 to 2014 and there is no budget projected for 2015.
