1023. Deputy Aengus Ó Snodaigh asked the Minister for Health to set out the average annual out-of-pocket spend on health care per adult and per household. [31512/15]
View answerAccording to OECD data, current expenditure on privately funded health care in the State per capita in 2012, which is the latest year for which data is available, was €960.57 at current prices. This includes out-of-pocket payments (both over-the-counter and cost-sharing), private insurance programmes, charities and occupational health care. A breakdown per household is not provided.
