520. Deputy Éamon Ó Cuív asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine the number of farmers who have applied to join the beef data and genomics scheme; the number who have subsequently withdrawn from the scheme; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [31369/15]

The closing date for the Beef Data & Genomics Programme was 5 June 2015. My Department received 29,531 valid applications. Of these, 724 have subsequently withdrawn from the Programme.
