596. Deputy Ruth Coppinger asked the Minister for Justice and Equality if there is an automatic external defibrillator available for cases of emergency in prisons here. [30565/15]
View answerI am advised by the Irish Prison Service that all prisons have access to an automatic external defibrillator, which is ordinarily situated in the healthcare unit of the prison concerned, and is available for use in the case of a medical emergency if the need arises.
