Deputy Tom Fleming asked the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport the health and safety measures in place for the use of drones by members of the public; the licensing requirements; if there are zones where drones may operate or are prohibited from operating; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The regulation of the safe use and operation of remotely piloted aviation systems (RPAS) in Irish airspace is a matter for the Irish Aviation Authority (IAA).
