15. Deputy James Bannon asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Social Protection if she will ensure that a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath will be awarded a disability allowance, as a matter of urgency; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [35353/15]

The Department informs me that, to date, no application for disability allowance (DA) has been received from the person in question. An application form has been sent to the person in question. Upon receipt of the completed application form, the Department will assess her entitlement to DA and the person in question will be notified of the outcome.
