Deputy Billy Timmins asked the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government the position regarding Part 3 of the Housing (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2014 which provides for a new scheme for the tenant purchase of existing local authority houses, along incremental purchase lines; when this will be introduced, as it was promised for second quarter of 2015; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The necessary Regulations for the new scheme for the tenant purchase of existing local authority houses along incremental purchase lines are at an advanced stage and are expected to be finalised and signed by end October.
