Deputy Gabrielle McFadden asked the Minister for Health if a second palliative care consultant for the midlands region has taken up the post at the Midlands Regional Hospital in Mullingar in County Westmeath; if so, when the consultant commenced the role; what the role specifically entails; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
