675. Deputy Charlie McConalogue asked the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government his plans to introduce grant assistance or tax credit measures to assist owner-occupiers to fund fire safety repairs in apartment blocks; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [35957/15]
View answerThere are no plans to introduce grant assistance to assist owner occupiers to fund fire safety repairs in apartment blocks. I have no function in relation to tax credits, although it is worth noting that relevant repair works of this nature already come within the scope of the Home Renovation Incentive scheme which I understand has recently been extended to December 2016.
