1011. Deputy Finian McGrath asked the Minister for Education and Skills the number of civil servants under her remit who have been reinstated in recent years after taking a career break; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [38724/15]

Twenty three staff have been re-instated following a career break since 2012. A further nine were either redeployed at the end of their career break, resigned or retired in the same period. The breakdown for each location in the Department of Education and Skills is outlined in the table.
