Deputy Eric Byrne asked the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government further to Parliamentary Question No. 570 of 3 February 2015, when the relevant sections of the Housing (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act will be enacted; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The powers of local authorities to deal with anti-social behaviour and the repossession of local authority dwellings were significantly enhanced with the commencement of Part 2 of the Housing (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2014 on 13 April 2015.
