View answerMy Department is the Managing Authority for Ireland’s Rural Development Programme. The Programme is co-funded by the EU’s European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) and the national exchequer. The GLAS Scheme is the main agri-environment measure under the RDP. The total expenditure envisaged for GLAS over the lifetime of the scheme is some €1.4 billion.
