133. Deputy Robert Troy asked the Minister for Health the grounds on which a private general practitioner can refuse an appointment for a private patient; the criteria applied; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [40750/15]

GPs are private contractors and issues relating to appointments for private patients are a matter of private contract between the clinician and the patient. If the patient has a complaint, they may wish to contact the Medical Council which is the regulatory body for doctors in Ireland.
