Durkan asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Social Protection if a respite care grant will be urgently awarded to a person (details supplied) in County Kildare who requires the assistance to provide a special vehicle for periods of respite; and if she will make a statement on the matter. An application for Respite Care Grant from the person concerned was received in my Department on 29th October 2015. The application is being processed as expeditiously as possible and a decision will be made as soon as possible.
