195. Deputy Peadar Tóibín asked the Minister for Education and Skills to outline her plans to provide extra primary Gaelscoil places in Navan, County Meath. [42165/15]
View answerMy Department has considered primary school capacity in Navan and wishes to advise the Deputy that there is sufficient capacity between the schools in Navan to meet current and anticipated demand for primary school places.
The main focus of my Department's capital investment programme will remain on ensuring that every child has access to a physical school place. This may result in some pupils not obtaining a place in a school of their first choice.
My Department continues to analyse demographic data on an ongoing basis, including County Meath, to determine where further school accommodation might be needed in the future.
