Deputy Charlie McConalogue asked the Minister for Education and Skills the value of the capitation grant paid to students in each of the four years of the bachelor of education course and in each of the two years of the masters of education programme in Coláiste Mhuire in Marino in Dublin 3. The total value of capitation grants paid to Marino Institute of Education in the current academic year in respect of eligible students on the Bachelor of Education course is as follows:

Year 1 (September 2015 entrants) €740,879

Year 2 (September 2014 entrants) €740,879

Year 3 (September 2013 entrants) €740,879

Year 4 (September 2012 entrants) €726,493

Total 2015/16 - €2,949,130

The total value of capitation grants paid to Marino Institute of Education in the current academic year in respect of eligible students in each of the Masters of Education courses was €359,650 per year cohort as follows;

Year 1 (September 2015 entrants) €359,650

Year 2 (September 2014 entrants) €359,650

Total 2015/16 - €719,300

The first Masters of Education course commenced in September 2014 and the second courses commenced in September 2015.
