Deputy Éamon Ó Cuív asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine the number of farmers who have received payments, the average payment per farmer, the percentage rate of payment made, and the total expenditure to date under the green low-carbon agri-environment scheme; and if he will make a statement on the matter. View answerMy Department are currently undertaking the necessary checks on GLAS Tranche 1 applications which have a 1 October 2015 start date and are therefore eligible for a 2015 part year payment. When these payment application checks are complete these payments will start to issue. First payruns are expected to be scheduled next week, with 85% of what is due being paid by way of first instalment.
The details of average payments will not be available until payment processing is complete.
