Sections of the Sea Pollution (Hazardous Substances) (Compensation) Act 2005 providing for the International Convention on Liability and Compensation for Damage in connection with the Carriage of Hazardous and Noxious Substances by Sea, 1996, were not commenced as this Convention did not enter into force internationally. When the 2010 Convention enters into force internationally, it is intended that the remaining sections of the Act will be commenced. |
