Deputy Michael Ring asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Social Protection when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will receive a decision on an application under the carer's allowance scheme; the reason for the delay in making a decision; and if she will make a statement on the matter. View answerThe application for carer’s allowance in respect of the person concerned was awarded on 20 October 2015 and the first payment issued to the person’s bank nominated bank account on 29 October 2015.
Arrears of allowance due were also issued to the bank on 29 October 2015. The person concerned was notified of this on 22 October 2015.
