368. Deputy Éamon Ó Cuív asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine the number of farmers who have submitted data notifications under the beef data and genomics programme 2015; the number who have submitted the required genomic testing under the same programme to date; the number of farmers who have received payments to date for 2015; the total amount paid; and if he will make a statement on the matter. To date 21,700 applicants have submitted some or all of the required data notifications, while 22,300 applicants have submitted some or all of the required genomic samples, representing 290,000 samples.

Payments amounting to €30.2m issued to 15,914 applicants in December 2015 under the Programme. Payments will continue in the coming weeks to applicants as eligibility is confirmed.
