223. Deputy Brendan Griffin asked the Minister for Education and Skills if a school (details supplied) in County Kerry will be grant aided to extend classroom sizes and to provide other facilities to ensure adequate and safe space; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [1640/16]

I can confirm that the school referred to by the Deputy has submitted two applications to my Department for capital funding for additional school accommodation. The applications are currently being considered and a decision will be conveyed to the school authority shortly.
