I confirm that the Department is in receipt of an application for disability allowance from the above named person on 9 December 2015. On completion of the necessary investigations on all aspects of the claim a decision will be made and the person concerned will be notified directly of the outcome.

The processing time for individual disability allowance claims may vary in accordance with their relative complexity in terms of the three main qualifying criteria, the person’s circumstances and the information they provide in support of their claim.

There is no record of an application for disability allowance from the person in question. If the person in question wishes to make an application, she should fully complete and submit an application form (DA1) so that her eligibility may be determined.

If the person in question has submitted an application for DA in the last few days, there is no need to reapply and the Department will be in touch with her in due course.

The person concerned has been awarded disability allowance with effect from 7 October 2015. The first payment will issue to the person in question on 3 February 2016.

Arrears of payment due will issue as soon as possible once any necessary adjustment is calculated and applied in respect of any overlapping payments or in respect of outstanding overpayments (if applicable).

The person concerned is in receipt of State pension (non-contributory).

I confirm that the department received an application for disability allowance from the above named person on 13 November 2015. Disability Allowance is payable to persons between the ages of 16 and 66, provided they meet all criteria.

The application for the person concerned was disallowed on 23 December 2015 as she is over the age of 66.

I confirm that the disability allowance (DA) claim for the person concerned was re-instated on 7 October 2015, with effect from 23 September 2015. Payment of DA had been stopped for a period of one year while the person in question participated in a community employment scheme.

The person concerned submitted an application for disability allowance (DA) on 10 December 2014. The application was refused on both medical and means grounds, and the person in question was notified in writing of this decision on 15 June 2015 and of his rights of review and appeal. No appeal was received.

If the person in question believes that he may now qualify, it is open to him to submit a new application for DA by completing and returning the relevant application form (DA1).

The person concerned submitted an application for disability allowance on 18 May 2015.

The application, based upon the evidence submitted, was refused on medical grounds and the person in question was notified in writing of this decision on 14 July 2015 and of his rights of review and appeal. No appeal was received.

If the person in question believes he may qualify, it is open to him to reapply by completing and submitting to the Department the relevant application form (DA1).

An application for domiciliary care allowance (DCA) was received from the person concerned on the 18 December 2015. This application has been forwarded to one of the Department’s Medical Assessors for their medical opinion. Following receipt of this opinion, a decision will be made by a Deciding Officer and notified to the person concerned. It can currently take 12 weeks to process an application for DCA.
