Deputy Colm Keaveney asked the Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources if he will mandate that Electricity Supply Board Networks meter readers receive Garda Síochána clearance before being employed, given the recent arrangements entered into by the company with regard to meter readers and given that their roles bring them onto private property, including entering into private homes; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
