Deputy Charlie McConalogue asked the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport if he will provide supports for a company which was contracted by Córas Iompair Éireann to construct a garage to house and maintain a fleet which will allow the company to better serve the local community; and if he will make a statement on the matter. As Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport I have responsibility for policy and for overall funding in relation to public transport.

My Department does not operate any financial support schemes for the development of commercial facilities of this nature.  Moreover, I have no role in contractual arrangements between the CIE Group and third party contractors.
