469. Deputy Brendan Griffin asked the Minister for Education and Skills the status of the planned centralisation of the education and training boards' payroll; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [5002/16]

Minister for Education and Skills

Payroll Shared Services for the Education & Training Boards (ETBs) is progressing, and is now in the design stage of the project following business case approval. The Department of Education & Skills is currently working closely with relevant State agencies on the procurement process for a payroll system for all 16 ETBs.
