I propose to take Questions Nos. 596 to 599, inclusive, together.

My Department continues to liaise and consult in the normal way with the relevant local authorities in relation to matters of mutual interest relating to the Brú na Bóinne World Heritage site which is managed on my behalf, as Minister, by the Office of Public Works. The operation of the planning and development system at local level is a matter for the local authorities, in this case Meath and Louth County Councils. It is not a function of my Department to issue instructions to planning authorities with regard to their responsibilities under planning legislation.
