Deputy Michael McGrath asked the Minister for Education and Skills the anticipated timing and payment methods used for the payment of maintenance grants to students for the 2016-17 college year under the student universal support Ireland system; and if she will make a statement on the matter. Students once awarded a maintenance grant for the 2016/17 academic year will be paid on a monthly basis. Payments will be made by Electronic Fund Transfer.
