View answerIn order to qualify for jobseekers allowance a person must be available for, capable of and genuinely seeking employment. The jobseeker’s allowance is a means-tested payment and a person’s household income is assessed when determining entitlement to this income support. It is open to the person concerned to submit an application for the jobseeker’s allowance at the local branch office in Maynooth where her entitlement will be assessed and a decision will issue.
