Questions (497)

Richard Boyd Barrett

Question:

497. Deputy Richard Boyd Barrett asked the Minister for Health the number of patients who were waiting for admission on trolleys in hospital emergency departments in March 2016; the way in which this number has changed, by monthly average, and by hospital, in the past 5 years; the frequency with which in this period ambulances have been impeded from responding to emergency call-outs because of delays in transferring their patients to emergency departments as a result of overcrowding; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
