53. Deputy Michael Healy-Rae asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Social Protection the status of an application for an invalidity pension by a person (details supplied) in County Kerry; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [6976/16]

The person concerned has been awarded invalidity pension with effect from 21 January 2016. Payment will issue to her nominated bank account on the 28 April 2016. Any arrears due from 21 January 2016 to 27 April 2016 (less any overlapping social welfare payment and/or outstanding overpayment) will issue in due course. The person in question was notified of this decision on 12 April 2016.
