Deputy Michael Moynihan asked the Minister for Education and Skills the position regarding the grant aid for major capital works for a school (details supplied) in County Cork; the developments from the schools appraisal unit; when a decision will be made; and if she will make a statement on the matter. I can confirm that the school referred to by the Deputy has made an application to my Department for funding for capital works.

Further details relevant to the application were requested from the school. On receipt of that information the application can be considered further with a decision conveyed to the school authority in due course.
