7. Deputy John McGuinness asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Social Protection if an appeal in respect of an invalidity pension by a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny will be expedited and approved. [7912/16]
View answerThe person concerned has been awarded invalidity pension with effect from the 14 January 2016. Payment will issue to his nominated bank account on 5 May 2016. Any arrears due from 14 January 2016 to 4 May 2016 (less any overlapping social welfare payment and/or outstanding overpayment) will issue in due course. The person in question was notified of this decision on the 19 April 2016.
