View answerThe GLAS Traditional Farm Building Scheme provides grant-aid for the conservation of traditional farm buildings on GLAS farms. The scheme is jointly funded by the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine and the European Union and is administered by the Heritage Council on behalf of my Department. Grants awarded will not exceed 75% of the cost of the works with a maximum grant of €25,000 and a minimum grant of €4,000 being made.
I am delighted to say that over 500 applications have been received for the Scheme under the first tranche and I can confirm that an application was received from the person named. The Heritage Council is currently validating and evaluating all applications and they will notify all applicants of the outcome in due course.
