33. Deputy Timmy Dooley asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Justice and Equality the number of judges on the Supreme Court, the Court of Appeal, the High Court and the Circuit Court who are former barristers or solicitors. [12248/16]
View answerI wish to inform the Deputy that the information requested is not readily available. However in order to be helpful to the Deputy I have requested the information be collated and forwarded to him as soon as possible. As the Deputy will be aware, the Programme for Government proposes extensive reform of the judicial appointments process, to ensure it remains transparent, fair and credible.
