124. Deputy Robert Troy asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Justice and Equality the reason for the delay in An Garda Síochána vetting a person (details supplied). [15073/16]
View answerAs the Deputy will be aware, I have sought further information from him with regard to the person to whom he refers in order for the Garda Authorities to be in a position to pursue his query. The Deputy should note that while the current average processing time for vetting applications is four weeks, in some individual cases additional enquiries may be necessary and this may result in processing times in excess of the average.
