Deputy Darragh O'Brien asked the Minister for Education and Skills if he is aware that students in a school (details supplied) are unable to use the physical education hall due to the dangerous state of the floor, and that his Department has twice refused emergency grant applications to replace it; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I propose to take Questions Nos. 193 and 194 together.

The application from the school to which the Deputy refers is currently being re-considered. The Planning and Building unit of my Department will be in contact with the school directly when a decision has been taken in this matter.
