I confirm an application for disability allowance (DA) was received from the person in question on 14 March 2016.

DA was awarded to the person in question with effect from 11 May 2016, following a change in her circumstances which meant her means were reduced. However, DA in respect of the period from 16 March 2016 to 10 May 2016 was refused on means grounds as she was deemed to have means in excess of the statutory limit.

The person concerned has been notified of these decisions and of their right of review or appeal to the independent Social Welfare Appeals Office.

The first payment will be made by her chosen payment method on 29 June 2016. Arrears of payment due will issue as soon as possible once any necessary adjustment is calculated and applied in respect of any overlapping payments or in respect of outstanding overpayments (if applicable).
