228. Deputy Willie Penrose asked the Minister for Education and Skills the steps he is taking to provide accommodation to facilitate a school (details supplied) which has been upgraded and granted a fourth teacher with effect from September 2016, given that it is urgent to have this matter sorted without delay as the installation of a portacabin will take time and effort in order to have it ready of the academic year in September 2016; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I can confirm that the school referred to by the Deputy has submitted an application to my Department for additional accommodation.

The application concerned is currently being assessed and a decision will be conveyed to the school authority as soon as this process has been finalised.
