My Department does not have an Archive Unit but there is a Records Management Unit which among other duties has a role and responsibility for the archiving of Departmental files. The Records Management Unit had 5 members of staff in 2010 and has 6 members of staff since 2011. There are no immediate plans to increase this number of staff and there are no changes required at present to the Department's record management protocol as a result of changes to the National Archives Act.
