323. Deputy Robert Troy asked the Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation the total photography costs per annum for her Department since coming to office inclusive of costs incurred from use of the ministerial allowance in tabular form; the list of occasions for which photographers were booked; the photographers used; the breakdown of costs associated with each occasion that a photographer was used; if there is a policy regarding the booking of photographers within her Department; and if she will make a statement on the matter. I can advise the Deputy that the total photography costs incurred by my Department and its Offices since 6 May, 2016 are €461. The list of occasions for which photographers were booked, the photographers used and the breakdown of costs are detailed in the following table.

No expenditure for photography was incurred from Ministerial allowances.

The Department uses external photographers sparingly and, with a view to keeping costs to a minimum, regularly uses its own facilities and staff to take photographs in-house. My Department also avails of the panel of photography firms, selected following a procurement process undertaken by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, which is available for use by all Departments.
