The number of public servants at  Q1 2016 is 300,302. A detailed breakdown of public service employee numbers is available at: http://databank.per.gov.ie/Public_Service_Numbers.aspx?rep=SectorTrend.

Membership of trade unions or representative associations in the public service and their voting records as members is a matter between the trade union or representative association and the individual public servants and my Department does not hold such data in respect of the public service.

The Public Service Committee of ICTU provides a non-exhaustive list of Unions with membership in the public service at http://www.ictu.ie/about/committees/14/.
