Deputy Michael McGrath asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Justice and Equality the number of persons who have successfully applied for debt settlement arrangements, debt relief notices and bankruptcy under the Personal Insolvency Act 2012 by county; and if she will make a statement on the matter. I can advise the Deputy that there have been a total of 2,927 debt solutions approved up to the end of March 2016, according to the latest statistics released by the ISI.

The following table shows the total number of Debt Relief Notices (DRN), Debt Settlement Arrangements (DSA), Personal Insolvency Arrangements (PIA) and bankruptcies approved in the period Q1 2014 to end Q1 2016, by county;
