Deputy Charlie McConalogue asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine when rubber slat mats will become eligible for grant aid under targeted agricultural modernisation scheme 2 as per the programme for Government commitment; the date live applications can be submitted under such a scheme; when eligible participants will receive payments; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The possibility of the inclusion of rubber slat mats as an investment item under the Targeted Agricultural Modernisation Scheme II is being examined. Under the Scheme applicants must receive approval for an investment item before any works or investment is undertaken.
