148. Deputy Martin Heydon asked the Minister for Education and Skills the status of an appeal for a transport grant for persons (details supplied) in County Kildare; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [23175/16]

The case referred to by the Deputy is the subject of an appeal to the School Transport Appeals Board.

This Board is independent of my Department and I understand the case is due to be considered at their next meeting which is scheduled for 29th July 2016.

The Board will inform the family directly of their determination on the matter.
