Questions (326)

Maurice Quinlivan

Question:

326. Deputy Maurice Quinlivan asked the Minister for Health his plans to invest in modern diagnostic services such as X-ray scans, ultrasounds and so on to allow for faster turnaround in the new emergency department at Limerick University Hospital; the way he intends to deal with the fact that there are not sufficient skilled staff available to operate existing equipment with the result that the service is running at half capacity which in turn leads to bed-blocking; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
