707. Deputy Charlie McConalogue asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine the status of an application by a person (details supplied) under the sheep technology adoption programme; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [23489/16]
View answerIn order to qualify for payment under the 2015 Sheep Technology Adoption Programme (STAP) participants were required to attend five meetings and satisfactorily complete two tasks.
The person named was notified on 18 January 2016 that as he had not satisfactorily completed the two tasks and had not attended the required number of meetings, payment was not due. The person named was also notified of the option to appeal this decision. There is no record of any such appeal in my Department.
